Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What exactly is Moisture Manager, and what is it made from?

A: Moisture Manager is a plant-based hygroscopic humectant (a fancy way of saying it attracts water and keeps it there). It is made entirely from plants, and bears a USDA Biobased Product certification. To read the MSDS, click HERE.

What does it do?

A: Moisture Manager captures water that would otherwise be lost to evaporation and collects it where it's needed - on the plants' roots - for up to three months.

Q: Is it safe?
A: Moisture Manager is completely safe for pets, humans, and the environment. It biodegrades in about three months. It is currently used on countless vegetable gardens.

Q: How is it applied?

A: Moisture Manager is a granular product that is applied using a chest-spreader that holds up to 40 pounds of product. As the contractor walks over the area to be treated, the spreader applies the product very evenly.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: Moisture Manager costs less than a nickel per square foot when professionally applied. Rates fall as low as 2.9 cents per square foot for larger lawns.

Q: How do I get a free quote?

A: Simply call The Drought Buster, your Authorized Moisture Manager Applicator shown in the green bar on the left side of this page, or click HERE to get a free no-obligation quote online.

Q: Do I need to water before or after treatment?

A: You don't need to water before application. After application, water normally for three weeks, then you can cut back.

Q: How much water can I save?
A: With Moisture Manager, you can save up to 50% of the water you'd normally need on your lawns and plants.

Q: How long does each treatment last?
A: Moisture Manager treatments last up to three months. The manufacturer suggests repeat applications as long as drought conditions prevail.

Q: How can I schedule treatments?
A: Call The Drought Buster, your Authorized Moisture Manager Applicator, shown in the green bar on the left side of this page.
